Imagine the brain’s intricate work not unlike a traffic roundabout: signals continuously enter, yield, and merge — never static, but rarely chaotic. This balance between stability and flexibility (i.e., metastability) lies at the heart of a new interdisciplinary neuroscience initiative Jonas intends to pursue at the University of Lübeck.
Today, we are delighted that this initative by the working title METAFLEX has received over 90,000 € start-up funding from the Schleswig-Holstein Ideenfonds. This support will allow us to pilot experiments, bring researchers together, and set the stage for a future major research grant proposal.
